The Italjet awaits the return of Innerhofer, Fill and Buzzi: the downhill skier of Gais still in doubt for Lake Louise

Three blue sprinters ready for the restart after the respective stop periods: training at Copper Mountain is progressing positively.

Christof Innerhofer, Peter Fill and Emanuele Buzzi, are the three most anticipated men of the Italjet behind the man of reference, the world champion and winner in charge of the super-g crystal ball, Dominik Paris. Together with Matteo Marsaglia, Mattia Casse and Federico Simoni, the seven men led by Alberto Ghidoni are working very well on the snows of Colorado, when there are now less than two weeks to go to the World Cup debut (except for Paris, which has competed in giant in Soelden) planned at the end of the month in Lake Louise. As for "Inner", there is still doubt about his presence in Canadian races: it is likely that the 34-year-old from Gais can test himself in the tests of the descent, starting on Wednesday 27 November, and then making a final decision if he postpones or less the race debut at Beaver Creek. After the injury to the left knee to the Cortina Assoluti, the recovery went as planned, but basically the South Tyrolean put down the downhill skis only at Copper Mountain and for three days overall before the weekend and the recovery of the work this week for him crucial in order to improve condition and confidence. Peter Fill, on the other hand, after his back problems that forced him to close early last season (the last race dates back to December 2018 in the super-g in Val Gardena), started again in the summer and had to slow down a little preparation in the autumn period, as he had also confessed on the occasion of the Atomic Day in Altenmarkt. Now, however, the 37-year-old from Castelrotto (who celebrated his birthday last November 12 in Colorado, ed) is better and is training without any particular problems, ready for the starting gate for the Lake Louise races. The same goes for Emanuele Buzzi, who stopped the Wengen descent of last January 20, but returned positively to the group since the trip to Argentina and ready to start from where he left off, as he repeated several times, or from that fantastic 6th place on the Lauberhorn, before falling just after the finish line. And apparently, Dominik Paris is already in great shape ...
