It was the super-g of controversy, that ended only at 15.30 on a Saslong "devoured" by fog and humidity, despite the crazy work of the organizers led by Rainer Senoner and by the chief race director of the male sector in FIS house, that Markus Waldner that even today he found himself managing a very complicated situation.

The fund has held and after all the "big" have run in similar conditions, especially in terms of visibility, but it is clear that almost four hours of competition and two long interruptions, one of which before the most anticipated men left, from Dominik Paris forward, has created a situation that can only lead to discussion.
It is said that Austria has pushed to take home the race, which is quite normal when the first 20 have descended and you have an athlete in your head; as always on these occasions, the three on the podium celebrate for several reasons and certainly do not speak of an irregular race, like Kriechmayr himself. "I think he ran in quite similar conditions for everyone, with breaks when needed - said the winner, who also took the red bib and leadership in the World Cup overall - I'm happy with my skiing, I have a good feeling and I think I can do very well even in tomorrow's downhill â€.
The same feeling of Kjetil Jansrud, on the sixth super-g podium on the Saslong, even though the Norwegian seemed to have in his hand the vanished success in the last few meters: "Okay so, for me it is a very good test - said the Norwegian - In North American races things had gone bad, but here almost everything has changed. The interruptions? This is an outdoor sport, you have to know how to adapt and accept this. I believe the situation has been managed in the best possible way ".
Finally Thomas Dressen, third and at the second podium of his super-g career: “The track was fast and well suited to my characteristics, but I didn't think I could play the top 3. For the descent we will see, but I trust I can be protagonist".
