It will be a festive "Stelvio", the one that will host the two days of the Bormio World Cup in a month, which includes the classic descent followed on the 28th and 29th December, 24 hours later, by the first combined race of the season.
The abundant snowfall even in Alta Valtellina makes the queen runway already in very good condition, from the start to the ski stadium. First test of the descent scheduled for Thursday 26th, at 11.45 am as the following day, while the race on Saturday 28th will be staged at 11.30 am, with evening appointments in the Kuerc square for the bib draw and on Saturday at 5 pm at the ski stadium, the young protagonists with the Vitalini Speed Contest. Sunday 29 the grand finale, with the super-g at the start at 11.45.
Among the collateral events to be reported, Friday 27 December the photo exhibition "Bormio: the history of skiing", dedicated to all the winners of the descent on the Stelvio, directly in the streets of the historic center of the country. Saturday, at 6 pm, it will be the turn of GusAntico Fest, a tasting of traditional dishes, always in the center, and until 11 pm there will be the extraordinary opening of Bormio Terme in via Stelvio. On Sunday 29, finally, at 9 pm appointment at the Palaghiaccio for an international figure skating show.
