One of the best Croatian slalomists stopped by an injury during a training of a giant in Val Senales: he should make it to Alta Badia and Campiglio, on 21-22 December.

It certainly cannot be said that the 2020/2021 season of the Croatian national team was born under a lucky star.
After the crash suffered by Elias Kolega in full athletic training in May, with the ''96 class who remedied a fracture in his right tibia that forced him to stop for several months, in mid-August the positivity to Covid had emerged. Filip Zubcic and Istok Rodes, fortunately resolved fairly quickly. The latter, however, was injured in recent days during a training as a giant on the snows of Val Senales; the outcome of an MRI was expected, carried out in the past few hours in Zagreb, and as the Croatian media reported for Rodes the problem concerns the right knee.
A partial rupture of the medial collateral ligament, but there is no need for surgery: we will then proceed with a conservative therapy and the goal of getting back on skis within the next three weeks. Rodes, slalom racer in the 1996 class, obtained the best results in the World Cup in two seventh places, practically consecutive between Madonna di Campiglio and Zagreb in the 2018/19 season. However, he should make it back for the first two slalom of the 2020/21 vintage, scheduled for 21 December in Alta Badia and the following evening in Campiglio, for the very classic on the Canalone Miramonti.
