The first race of the 2019/2020 season in the European Cup speaks German.
The men's slalom at Funesdalen, in fact, rewarded a resounding Linus Strasser, who had already shown his great form by finishing 8th Sunday in Levi in CdM; from third place in the 1st round, albeit only 5 cents from the summit, the 27-year-old Bavarian was unleashed, triumphing with 27 cents on the Croatian Rodes, leading mid-way through ex-aequo with Simonet, then derailed in the decisive run.
Great comeback, predictable, of the Swedish Jakobsen (already 6th in Levi), 10th in the first with bib 37 and at the end third, albeit 1 "03 from Strasser, with Nordbotten and Aerni to complete the top five. Italy can only smile with Tommaso Sala, seventh after both the first run and the end, just 24 cents from the podium.
Out of the 20, instead, Gori, Liberatore and Bacher.
