Everything is ready on the Birds of Prey of Beaver Creek, for the second male giant of the season that arrives over forty days after the opening of Soelden.
Start at 5.45 pm for the 1st race, at 8.45 pm the second (they trace the blue that drives the Swedes, Walter Girardi, and the Canadian technician Grasic); for Italy, in the race with eight athletes, the hopes are mainly placed on Luca De Aliprandini, eighth on the Rettenbach debut and now competing with bib number 15. The Slovenian Zan Kranjec will open the first heat, followed by the French couple formed by Faivre and Pinturault (second and first in Soelden). With the 4 and 5 here is Meillard and Ford, then to close the first sub-group there will be Henrik Kristoffersen and Marco Odermatt, probably the other two big favorites.
Stefan Luitz won his only CdM race here a year ago, and will start with the 9th after Olsson; Ted Ligety, 5th in Soelden and with big partial until the middle of the race last Friday in super-g, he won five times on the Birds of Prey and is still aiming for something important with the No. 13, then we will have to pay attention to the return in giant by Marco Schwarz (16), the other Austrian Stefan Brennsteiner (27) and the very talented Lucas Braathen (28). 60 athletes are at the start.
