Tommy Ford is the second male giant of the World Cup, staged on a really tough day for the weather conditions in Beaver Creek, with the American winning his first career victory by demolishing the competition and trimming eight tenths for Henrik Kristoffersen, excellent 2nd, on the podium with compatriot Nestvold-Haugen.
The best blue? As in Soelden it was Luca De Aliprandini, 14th and a bit 'in the shade compared to 8th place in Soelden.
And there are also the first points in the World Cup for Hannes Zingerle, already very good at qualifying with the bib 48, while Riccardo Tonetti came out in the second race after the 22nd time in the first.
