Fabulous conditions, for the first of the three events on the "Stelvio" of Bormio, which today will recover the canceled descent in Val Gardena, to then see the classic descent take place on Saturday and the first Alpine combined of the 2019/2020 Cup season on Sunday Male world.
Starting from 11.30 today, we compete in fact on a slightly shortened track (in the area of the Rocca, without the first 15 seconds of the race), a precise choice of the FIS not to tire the athletes too much considering that this is the real queen track in terms of completeness and effort to which jet men are called. The track of Dominik Paris, chasing what would be the fourth consecutive victory in a fast race on the Stelvio, after the 2017 descent and last year's double / super-g brace (not only did he win the combined two years ago, ed); in test "Domme" was immediately brilliant, with the 2nd half behind Frenchman Roger and just ahead of Mattia Casse, also among the candidates for the podium, and would be the first of his career after an excellent start of season that saw him already 5th in super-g at Lake Louise.
The blue leader will start with the bib number 11, the Piedmontese with 34, among them many dangerous men such as Feuz (15) and Jansrud (19), while before Paris we will already see Mayer with 5, Kilde with 7 and Kriechmayr with 9.
