German veteran Felix Neureuther at the Are World Championships will only participate in the slalom by renouncing the giant.

The last injury of the 34-year-old from Garmisch-Partenkirchen was a fracture in the thumb on the eve of Levi's slalom after he had just recovered from the breaking of the crusader on his knee that had almost completely blown him off last season. In the World Cup he played only the Val d'Isere giant, finishing twenty-first, for the rest he played only slalom, scoring three times eighth.
It is clear that Felix, aware of having little chance of a medal, wants to preserve his body as much as possible and wants to concentrate on his favorite specialty in which he won a silver in 2013 and two bronzes in 2015 and 2017. Neureuther has said that the best feelings for him are coming back and is ready to give again the hunt for the iridescent podium of the slalom.
