Giuliano Razzoli: "I could not keep the time and I was not fast, the track of the second race was more, it was slower, but I usually go well even when the track is angled. also made a mistake or two, but all the result of the wrong timing.I hoped better, I also had a bit 'of bad luck at the beginning because in the first heat I was skiing well then I took a pole in the face that moved me the mask and The whole race bothered me, I immediately thought about moving it, but then I was at the mercy of the track and I did not do it ... Massimo Rinaldi: "Since I took over the management of alpine skiing, we started with a zero in Beaver Creek, then the medal of Sofia Goggia arrived in St. Moritz and here in Are we arrived at three. Surely I expected the medal of the descent, both male and female, and the female giant. We worked a lot on the team event in these three years, there was a change, the young people got noticed and finally this medal arrived. I was really disappointed by the track conditions in the men's and women's downhill. The descent was shortened and lasted one minute, practically as much as the slalom. The athletes are here to play the medals, for them is the highlight of the season, to present themselves with these tracks at a World Championship leaves something to be desired. For example, even this morning, for the slalom, you could see that the bottom would have yielded, but you have not seen a hose of water or bags of salt on the track. They had already decided that the race would take place under these conditions. Vinatzer explained it. I do not pretend from 1 to 100 the perfect track, but at least until 30 you should give everyone the same chance to have a decent track to express themselves. Talking to the locals, they told me that you can have all four seasons here in one day. I did not believe it, but it was like that. Rain, snow, sun, strong wind at the top: it took a greater workforce to cope with these needs. If the men's descent had not taken place on Saturday, they would have had to move it to Sunday and have it disputed along with the women, but they would have had two teams on the track and it was impossible. Moreover, throughout the season the best organizers of the circuit have proved to be Italian. I'm happy with the three medals, the athletes were very strong. We missed the medal for the men's downhill due to weather conditions and organization, and I wanted the Paris medal because I was the most fit man of the moment, with the victories of Bormio, Kitzbühel and the super-G here in Are, and he could play his chances. As for women, the athletes said so: they did not face the descent with the malice that was needed that day. It was a shortened descent, probably that was also a determining factor, and they did not feel immediately in the race. A little 'I'm sorry, it's obvious, maybe the medal of Sofia Goggia could arrive. The female giant started not in perfect conditions for all, for someone there was a little 'more wind, for others less. Sofia attacked a lot, unfortunately she left. As for giant and male slalom, Moelgg could not do more after having 38 fever. But the focus was still on the fast disciplines. I do not hide the difficulties in the male giant, but we must see where we started from. There were good moments in the season with De Aliprandini and Tonetti, but I'm the first to say that the team has not been there. You have to shuffle the cards and bring the giant and the men's slalom back to other levels. In the women's slalom something is coming from behind, with Della Mea, but also Rossetti and Gulli. In the men's slalom we suffered two injuries at the beginning of the season, like those of Sala and Liberatore, we focused a lot on the young people of the European Cup, with Maurberger and Vinatzer. The turn of Vinatzer could get to Campiglio if he had not come out in the second heat: now he must try to hold two specialties in his hands. Now we finish the World Cup, let's take a few days off because otherwise you risk taking the wrong path. Then we will go to the table and discuss it. We have good coaches, we will try to make the best staff to give the best to the boys. In my opinion everything is not resolved with a private team for individual athletes. The best season we did in the women's field with the multipurpose, when we won the Nations Cup in Aspen with a fabulous Italian podium in giant. We have to start from there and see in these two years what we have done well. We must improve, we will make our considerations. If there are changes, athletes will not have to suffer from it ".
