Noel is back and scared again: "Adelboden had left me a lot of bitterness"

Second seal in the slalom season, in "his" Wengen. The French ace keeps the fight for the specialty cup open: when he's not wrong, he has something extra.

When he's not wrong, he's almost always the fastest on the track and only Henrik Kristoffersen manages to ... keep him somehow at bay. Clément Noel had already made several gifts, in particular to Adelboden with the second "zero" in five slaloms costing the red bib of the leader of the discipline; today in Wengen, on the track where he triumphed for the first time a year ago, the phenomenal transalpine talent took the second seasonal hurrà shortening only about twenty points in the duel with Kristoffersen for the crystal ball that represents his goal (now there are 62 points of departure, after having climbed over Yule), but certainly the encore on the "Maennlichen" gives the terrible boy of Remiremont a lot of confidence. In the post-race, with the usual serenity, Noel analyzed his No. 5 success in the World Cup: "After an excellent first heat, I knew that the second one would be tough in these conditions - he explains referring to a now deteriorated track and the weather with heavy snow - I pushed to ... defend myself and I'm happy to win again here, where a year ago I celebrated my first victory. Red breastplate? Henrik is at the front and, as I have already said, the scores will come to an end and in the race you just have to think about trying to do the maximum. Now the slalom is like this ”.
