How many gifts of ... Noel: the Frenchman prepares the ransom in Wengen via ... Crans-Montana

Remiremont's ace is ready to return to the track where he won for the first time in the World Cup. Wednesday will be at the start of a slalom exhibition with many big names.

At times he seems the fastest man on the track in the panorama of world slalom, ready to take the scepter left vacant by Marcel Hirscher. Yet, in the first five specialty races of the season, Clément Noel has already collected two very heavy exits (Val d''Isère and Adelboden), practically handed over to Kristoffersen an almost certain victory (Levi) and punctured the first round of Campiglio, without being able to impose on the Miramonti Canal (where he finished third) despite a super comeback. In essence, the phenomenal 22 year old Frenchman took home the Zagreb race "only", burning for 7 cents Ramon Zenhaeusern (after making a serious mistake in the first heat), finding himself after the "zero" of last Sunday on the Chuenisbargli at 82 points from Henrik Kristoffersen in the specialty ranking. With seven slaloms available, everything is very wide open and the next challenge will be precisely in the Wengen one which, last year, saw him catch his first success in the World Cup; to get there in the best way, Noel will be at the start on Wednesday (5.15 pm and 7.15 pm of the heats) of the slalom exhibition in Crans-Montana which he won 12 months ago, on the occasion of the first edition of a test (with a rich prize pool) which on this occasion it will also see other big names at the start such as Yule, Zenhaeusern, Ryding, Myhrer, Foss-Solevaag and Braathen.
