With Alexis Pinturault in front of only a hundred points (in the middle there is obviously Aleksander Aamodt Kilde) after the first two slalom of this World Cup, in which the French leader of the overall has collected "only" 64 points, the phenomenon rossocrociato has a duty to believe in it; for him, among other things, it will not be the first time on the "Stelvio", since last year he had to jump descents and combined having broken his meniscus a few days earlier in Alta Badia, but in 2018 he participated in both the descent, where he finished just off the points (31st), and did very well in super-g (eighth). On Monday 28th for the descent, together with Odermatt there will be Beat Feuz, in search of the red bib, Carlo Janka, Mauro Caviezel, Urs Kryenbuehl (second in Bormio in the encore descent of 2019, 8 cents from Paris), Niels Hintermann, Ralph Weber and one between Gilles Roulin, Stefan Rogentin, Lars Roesti and Cédric Ochsner, who will play the eighth and last bib available in the two races. Internal qualification also from a super-g perspective between Weber, Roulin and Hintermann, will instead be certain to compete Odermatt, Feuz, Mauro Caviezel (in defense of the red bib as leader of the specialty), Gino Caviezel, Stefan Rogentin, Urs Kryenbuehl and, for the third time in this discipline (in the previous two he did not score points, including this season's opening race in Val d''Isère), Loic Meillard.
