On the Face de Bellevarde, in a very angled track designed by Dave Ryding's coach, Alexis Pinturault commands the first run of the second seasonal slalom with a 72 cents advantage over the Swiss Ramon Zenhaeusern and 88 cents on the Swedish Andre Myhrer.
Twists and turns: Clement Noel, one of today's favorites, comes out and slips away from the finish line. On the same point where the Frenchman came out, the Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen also made a big mistake, arriving with a delay of almost 3 seconds from Alexis Pinturault and running the risk of not qualifying for the second race.
Best of the Azzurri is Stefano Gross, eighth a few cents from the podium,
