The FIS has confirmed the three races on the Lauberhorn, with super-g and downhill to precede the slalom on January 15th. The snow check on Chuenisbargli has been postponed, where the situation is extremely complicated.

After the Garmisch slalom on 4 January 2023, the men's World Cup will continue its journey on the Swiss snow, but the uncertainty remains linked to one of the very classic white circus, the two days of technical tests (Saturday 7 the giant , Sunday 8 the slalom) in Adelboden.
On the "Chuenisbargli" a lot of work is being done to try and guarantee a good quality ground despite the situation of scarce snow and negative forecasts in terms of temperatures; the snow check scheduled for today has been postponed, but it is a race against time since there is just over a week left until the appointment and by the end of the year, in any case, the FIS will make a decision.
Confirmed this morning instead the second Swiss stage in the series, in the temple of Wengen for the triptych of Lauberhornrennen races; trials scheduled from Tuesday 10 to Thursday 12 January, then the super-g (after last year's novelty, when this discipline returned with success from Odermatt in front of Kilde and Mayer) at 12.30 on Friday 13, followed by Saturday 14 (same departure time) for the longest descent of the season.
In 2022 there were two races of the queen discipline, but the first was held with a start above the Hundschopf and saw Kilde precede Odermatt and Feuz, while on the complete track it was Vincent Kriechmayr who prevailed, mocking the king of the Lauberhorn in the last decade , Beat Feuz (who will be looking for a fourth win this year before retiring the following week in Kitzbuehel), and Dominik Paris who finished third.
Sunday 15 January we will see the slalom, with the start of the 1st heat set at 10.15 and the 2nd at 13.15: the latest edition brought home by Lucas Braathen, with a crazy comeback from 29th place (and clamorous gift from Kristoffersen in the last doors ) to beat Daniel Yule and Giuliano Razzoli, again on a podium of CdM in the same place where, 6 years before, he had obtained his last joy.
