A serious mourning for the entire community of the Val di Susa and its Bardonecchia.
Piero Bosticco passed away at the age of 84, probably hit by a heart attack on Sunday, as mayor Avato told "Valsusa Oggi": "Piero made the history of Bardonecchia - the words of the first citizen to the online newspaper - we gather around the family ".
The funeral will take place on Wednesday 29 July, from 2.30 pm in Melezet. We are talking about a very important character for the entire ski movement, just think that he was the one who gave birth, together with Giampaolo Frigerio, Vittorio Carpineti, Alberto Demetz, Renato Valle and Guerrino Frigerio, at AMSI (the '' Italian Ski Instructors Association) since 1963, to promote a category that until then had been governed by FISI.
From 1970, then, Bosticco was CEO of Colomion Spa, the plant company of Bardonecchia, until his son Nicola collected the legacy from 2006.
