Kvitfjell and Hafjell for the cup finals in 2025: the request of the Norwegian federsci is official

Strong candidacy for the first date available in the near future, but Hafjell herself would like a fixed stop of the women's CdM starting from the 2022/23 season.

The board of the Norwegian Federsci spoke clearly and gave the ok. Kvitfjell and Hafjell will apply to host the 2025 World Cup finals (currently it would be the only organization running), dividing the races between the quick tests in the resort which represents a fixed stage for jet men, and the technical ones in the neighboring area locality which is a few km from Lillehammer. "Kvitfjell is already one of the most stable organizers of the white circus and for a long time we have also wanted a World Cup stage for women - said Ole Kristian Kirkerud, general manager of the company that would handle the event - The finals are our objective, I think there are great possibilities with the Norwegian successes of the last few years and the opening up to new organizers in the international calendars ". Kirkerud also refers to the possibility that Hafjell herself will host, starting from the 2022/23 season, a fixed appointment in the women's circuit requesting the dispute of two technical races. The last time Norway managed to host the finals was in 2003, right between Kvitfjell's Olympiabakken and Hafjell's Olympia-Loypa, while it must be remembered that the next four final World Cup acts are already assigned between Lenzerheide in 2021, Courchevel / Meribel (which will host the 2023 World Cup) in March 2022, Soldeu the following year for the Andorran encore after the finals of 2019 and, as regards the 2023/24 season, it will take place in the locality which will host the 2025 world championships, or who will come out the winner (election postponed to Coronavirus next autumn) from the clash between Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Crans-Montana and Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
