A whole season divided ("we saw 8 days in the whole year"), then when the World Cup was over, here is the Covid-19 to divide them for other, very long weeks.
It was a very particular quarantine that of Michelle Gisin and Luca De Aliprandini, as we had told a couple of months ago; from Engelberg, the Swiss town where the 26 year old family climbs to the top of the world with the gold medal in the Alpine combined at the Olympic Games in PyeongChang, in Riva del Garda where the multipurpose red-crusader and the blue gigantist have been living together for a couple of years, just after those very special Olympics (and in which Luca made the giant's first run dream almost).
For a few days they have come back together, under one roof: “It was very difficult without him - explained Michelle to sport.ch - but now we can finally live and train together, being all well. The holidays? Patience, it would have been 1-2 weeks at the most ”.
Luca will be at the Stelvio from Friday 12th, to begin the preparation on skis together with the group of slalomigigantists, after having carried out a nice block of athletic preparation seasoned with a little bike and, as Marcel Hirscher and Henrik Kristoffersen have also taught for years , from a passion like that of motocross, also useful for preparing the body towards winter. When Gisin and De Aliprandini go in search of their first World Cup victory, and who knows what could not happen on the same day since, on 11 January, Michelle finished the descent of Altenmarkt in 3rd place and Luca was in the lead to the giant Adelboden until the middle of the 2nd race ...
