It's eve time in Cortina d''Ampezzo, where on Saturday and Sunday Olympia delle Tofane will host the Women's World Cup three years after the last time.
Thursday the first of the two official tests and at the gate there will be the same nine blue seen in the super-g of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, with the same Marta Bassino who this time will also compete in the descent while Karoline Pichler will still do the training in a super-g perspective .
Meanwhile, from the Swiss-Ski home comes the news of Michelle Gisin's return to the track, coming out with two forks from the slalom of Kranjska Gora and Schladming, before choosing to skip the speed stage at Altenmarkt-Zauchensee to recover her energy as best she can; the '93 class of Engelberg will be at the start of the downhill tests together with Corinne Suter, Lara Gut-Behrami, Jasmine Flury, Joana Haehlen, Priska Nufer, Jasmina Suter, Noemie Kolly, Delia Durrer and Stephanie Jenal. There will be no Wendy Holdener, who will remain in the pits thinking only of the giant next Tuesday at Kronplatz.
HADALIN STOP
Stefan Hadalin, one of the main Slovenian specialists for technical disciplines, surprisingly announced today the definitive stop for this season, talking about personal reasons behind his choice. Competing until last Sunday in the Wengen slalom, the ''95 class says goodbye to the Olympic Games in the heart of a difficult year for him, given that apart from the eighth place in the parallel of Lech / Zuers, he collected only two 25th places in the giants of Soelden and Adelboden.
