As in the case of the junior alpine skiing world championships in Narvik, which continue regularly and will see the women's giant go on stage on Wednesday, after today's cancellation due to bad weather of the men's alpine combined. Today, the organizing committee has issued a statement at least singular and questionable: "Two athletes have left Narvik, the reason is that both were in Tyrol, a region recently included in the list of areas at risk for Coronavirus - reads in the note - The athletes have been in contact with the World medical officer, dr. Sverre Hako Evju, I am perfectly healthy, but 14 days of quarantine were required as for all those who have been in Tyrol. This is why they both chose to leave Narvik. " As the FISI had already communicated, some blues would not have left for Narvik for the technical competitions of the next few days (Alex Vinatzer was already traveling instead in recent days), but it is added that even Polish athletes will not take part in these tests. "In both cases, we are talking about athletes who have been in risk areas," says the statement, confirming that the World Cup will go on regularly, as no cases of Coronavirus have been diagnosed in the Narvik area.
