The rule is discussed and questionable, but it has never been touched over the years, even if it lends itself to some interpretation.
The impossibility of moving and recovering the races of the World Cup finals has already affected some season finals in the past, often in Lenzerheide which is not exactly the easiest place to compete in speed tests.
