The report cards at the end of 2020 by Paolo De Chiesa: a Paris of 10 and praise but an insufficient Buzzi ...

End of year appointment with the report cards of our Paolo De Chiesa. After the two days in Bormio and the Semmering slalom, many come out with flying colors but there are also excellent failures ... let's find out together

Let's start from the women's sector where only one of the two scheduled competitions was staged: the special slalom. 10 and due praise to Michelle Gisin, winner of the Austrian race who finally celebrated her first career success in the World Cup. Mark 8 and full promotion for Marta Rossetti, good at exploiting the low starting number of the second heat to get an eleventh place that earned her the best result in the Circo Rosa. Rated 7 to Federica Brignone, sixteenth in slalom, but good at winning important points for the general classification. Mark 10 and praise to the organizers of the two days in Bormio. Despite the heavy snowfalls, they managed to prepare the Stelvio very well, which offered a great show. 10 and praise also to the downhill skier of the moment Ryan Cochran Siegle and to Dominik Paris, fourth in the downhill. I vote ten for the three who reached the podium in the descent: Mayer, Kriechmayr and Kryenbuehl ... The two contenders for the general classification were also promoted: Pinturault (9) very good at seizing 12th place in superg and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (8) always in the top positions despite not reaching the podium in Bormio. Deserved 8 for Matteo Marsaglia, while Beat Feuz (5) and Emanuele Buzzi (5) are insufficient.
