A great emotion, a few hours from the very important appointment with the finals of the World Cup, scheduled from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 September between Rieti and Amatrice. The Azzurri of the roller ski, this morning, together with a representative of the organizing committee, as well as technicians and managers of the national team, had the opportunity to attend the traditional Wednesday audience in the Paul VI hall in the Vatican with Pope Francis. A spiritual moment, with the opportunity to listen to the words of the Holy Father and, at the end of the audience, the gift for Pope Francis with the bibs of the Italian and Ukrainian team united in such a symbolic and meaningful way. The bishop of Rieti, Domenico Pompili, one of the first supporters of the event that will involve Rieti, Amatrice and Terminillo, promoted the participation of the representative of the World Cup of roller skis in the papal audience. “Thanks to the Holy Father, to Monsignor Leonardo Sapienza and to Bishop Domenico Pompili: participating in the papal audience on Wednesday is an immense emotion and a great honor for the World Cup of roller skis. The meeting gives us the strength to face three days of intense competitions and repays the great commitment that over 100 people are putting into the success of the event.
