From Friday to Sunday, meeting in Banska Bystrica for the first stage: Tanel and his teammates among the favorites, 16 are the standard bearers of the national team.

The Slovakian town of Banska Bystrica will host the opening stage of the Roller Ski World Cup. Three days of competitions, starting on Friday 23 July with the junior sprints and sprints, for men and women, to continue on Saturday 24 with the 10 and 15 km skating mass start, for both seniors and juniors, and then concludes with the 10 km classic technique mass start uphill, again for both categories, on Sunday 25 July.
A weekend full of events that will see the Italian team deployed in strength. The technical director Michel Rainer has in fact summoned both the World Cup team, both the Young and the Observed, for a total of 16 athletes. They are: Jacopo Giardina, Matteo Tanel, Michael Galassi, Michele Valerio, Riccardo Masiero, Francesco and Emanuele Becchis, Luca Curti, Sabrina Borettaz, Elisa Sordello, Laura Mortagna, Anna Bolzan, Aksel Artusi, Giovanni Lorenzetti, Riccardo Munari and Alessio Berlanda . The following technicians will be Emanele Sbabo, Solange Chabloz and Marco Ripamonti with the physiotherapist Antonio Ruggiero.
