Tricolors of roller skis in Rieti, Piedmont rejoices with the victories of Elisa Sordello and Emanuele Becchis

The standard bearers of the Alpi Marittime ski club win the title at the Italian flat championships; all the results also of the Italian Cup races.

The Italian Piano Championships in Rieti have come to an end, a tricolor event that officially opened the 2021 season of the blue skiroll. The overall victory went to two Piedmontese: Elisa Sordello and Emanuele Becchis, both of the Alpi Marittime ski club, respected the predictions of the day before. Sordello managed to make the difference on the climb on the third lap and, first with Laura Mortagna, then solo, she never gave up the lead of the 11 km test, finishing with a time of 28''12 ”6; in second place the same Mortagna (Fiamme Oro) at 1 '' 09 "7 and third Anna Bolzan (Sc Orsago) at 1 '' 15" 3. The Italian youth title (U18-U20) went to Laura Mortagna, ahead of Sabrina Borettaz (Amis de Verrayes) and Anna Maria Ghiddi (Sci Fondo Pavullo). The men's overall, scheduled over 15 laps for a total of 19 km, saw Tommaso Dellagiacoma (Sottozero Nordic Team) and Matteo Tanel (Robinson Ski Team) unleashed at the start, with Matteo Tanel and then Emanuele Becchis who went wild on the last straight, with Dellagiacoma forced to 3rd place. The young Italian title went to a brilliant Aksel Artusi (Sporting Club Livigno), able to finish eighth overall, 2nd Riccardo Munari (Valdobbiadene) and 3rd Giovanni Lorenzetti (Us Carisolo). Provisional leaders of the Italian Cup are the two Cuneo-based Emanuele Becchis and Elisa Sordello. An applause goes to the organizers, the ski clubs Winter Sport Subiaco, Artemisia di Amatrice in collaboration with the Rieti Sport Festival. The next appointment with the Cascina Bianca Italian Cup will be in Nevegal where an uphill test in free technique is scheduled.
