Trentino will host the Italian specialty championships in the weekend of 8-9 October thanks to the organization of Team Futura: the complete program and the youth categories themselves protagonists.

The city of Trento and its alpe, Monte Bondone, return to wear the tricolor on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October for a weekend that will have the task of assigning the Italian sprint and mass start uphill titles.
After a few editions of the World Cup, the city of the Council returns to play the role of capital of roller skis and this thanks to the organizational dynamism of Team Futura, which has enthusiastically accepted the proposal of the technical director of the FISI, Michel Rainer. The initial federal calendar in fact provided that only the uphill competition would be valid as an Italian Championship race, while the Saturday sprint had been included in the Italian Cup calendar.
In recent days, however, the resignation from the Val di Resia has arrived in the Federation, which had scheduled the event on 25 September, election day, and therefore the Trentino association directed by Andrea Buttaboni was asked to recover the '' tricolor event. Said and done. "We accepted Michel Rainer's request without hesitation and with great enthusiasm - explains race director Silvano Berlanda - Our partnership has great experience and thanks to the precious collaboration of APT Trento and Monte Bondone, as well as the Municipality of Trento, we all our expertise is available for the two challenges of the Italian championship.
The sprint will be staged in corso del Lavoro e della Scienza in the Muse area (Trento Science Museum) on the afternoon of Saturday 8 October, with qualifications starting at 3 pm and awards ceremony in the adjacent square of the Working Women in end of event. Sunday morning space for the mass start, which will also enjoy a special on Rai Sport ”.
Trento therefore confirms itself as a city with a sporting vocation and Team Futura a company with a strong organizational vocation. A combination that will allow in the second weekend of October the presence of athletes from all over Italy and of all categories, from the smallest to the masters and, above all, the strongest interpreters of the specialty led by the king of sprint Emanuele Becchis (winner of three world titles such as Alessio Berlanda from Trentino), Matteo Tanel from Bolzano who won two editions of the absolute World Cup and from the emerging Trentino Tommaso Dellagiacoma and Giovanni Lorenzetti.
The sprint on Saturday will also see the very young and children categories in the race, in addition to the young, senior and master, over the distance of 150 meters in free technique, while on Sunday morning there will be staggered departures based on the category with relative lengths of the route, all in the mass start formula in the classic technique specialty. The arrival is foreseen in Vason, while the departures are foreseen in the valley. At 10 am it will be the turn of the under 10s on the 1000 meters distance, at 10.05 the under 12s on the 2000 meters, at 10.10 the under 14s who will face 3 km. The under 16 categories, therefore young, senior and female masters will start at 10.20 from Vaneze and try their hand on a 5500 meter track, while at 10.30 the start of the most awaited challenge for young, senior and male masters from Candriai to Vason, on the distance of 9 km.
