The debut of Ryoyu Kobayashi and a Japan that wants to dominate at home: Hakuba welcomes the Summer Grand Prix

It is the fifth round of the men's jump summer event and all the lights are aimed at the all-time ace of the 2018/19 season.

Ryoyu Kobayashi will make his debut in the summer of 2019, starting as a big favorite in the stage of the Summer Grand Prix scheduled in "his" Hakuba. The champion of Hachimantai here dominated in the two races on plastic a year ago and, after what we have seen in today's training jumps, that have "replaced" the qualification given that the members are only 46 for the two tests scheduled for Friday and Saturday (again at 11.20 am Italian time), the feeling is that the 22 year old Japanese is already in excellent condition. On the Japanese HS131, many of the protagonists of the European stages played so far, including the blues Alex Insam and Federico Cecon will not be in the race; in the pits the first 3 of the general classification of the Summer Grand Prix, that is Timi Zajc, Karl Geiger and Dawid Kubacki, with Naoki Nakamura who is a candidate to earn the yellow bib, being back from the excellent weekend of Zakopane and only 87 points from the Slovenian leader. But beware of Evgeniy Klimov, who is in fifth place with only 20 points behind the Japanese and will also try in Hakuba, where we will see virtually none of the other top nations of the movement, such as Germany, Austria, Norway and Poland, while Peier and Bartol they are candidates for a leading role. Japan will be in full force with the team event winners in the last Polish stage that will try to distinguish themselves also on an individual level, given that besides Ryoyu Kobayashi and the eternal Noriaki Kasai, besides the aforementioned Nakamura they could do very well Yukyia and Keiichi Sato, but also Junshiro Kobayashi himself.
