Bad news for the German ski jumping team. Andreas Wellinger is facing a knee injury. As a result, he decided to stop to solve the problems.

During the opening of the Summer Grand Prix, which was held at Wisla on the weekend, the 22-year-old made a lot of effort, finding a single leap worthy of his level (which was also decisive for Germany to get on the podium in the team event).
Today, the Bavarian has explained that "during the weekend I felt pain in my right knee. Physicians have diagnosed an inflammation of the tendon tendon. Therefore, I decided to focus on the therapeutic measures needed to heal, reducing my workouts in the next weeks ".
Head coach Werner Schuster said the break is indispensable for trying to get closer to the Olympic season in the best possible way.
So Wellinger certainly will not take part in the Summer Grand Prix stage at Hinterzarten, scheduled for July 28 and 29. It's not clear when he can go back to full-time training.
