Few surprises in the first individual race of the Summer Grand Prix: Zajc dominates and beats Kubacki and Klimov

As a tradition, the Polish Wisla trampoline hosted the opening weekend of the summer event par excellence.

The first stage of the Summer Grand Prix did not disappoint the expectations, with the individual race that respected the forecasts of the eve, given that some of the jumpers in the best shape of the moment climbed onto the podium. Timi Zajc confirms that he is already an absolute reference, despite his very young age (we are talking about a 2000 class); after the success of last February in Oberstdorf, the Slovenian is repeated on plastic dominating a test that saw him excel already after the first jump, albeit with Evgeniy Klimov (perhaps the main favorite after qualification and team event) close, detached of 1.8 points and with the best measure (135 mt). The Russian, however, has fenced off the second jump, with a 124.5 that meant 4 meters less than the rival and also the overtaking, to conclude then in 3rd place, immediately by Dawid Kubacki, who brought Poland on the podium in a day that has seen many big players, obviously with a condition that is not yet at the top. If Eisenbichler and Geiger gave Germany a 4th and 6th place respectively, Tande defended himself with a discreet 14th place after the problems of the past few days, Kamil Stoch finished in 19th place and Stefan Kraft did not pass the cut . Next meeting with the Summer Grand Prix, between Friday 26 (qualification) and Saturday 27 in Hinterzarten, where a mixed team event and the individual race will be staged in the late afternoon (6.00 pm).
