Ski jumping: Bresadola always among the big names in the FIS Cup, 2nd and 5th place in the Szczyrk races

Austrian double in Poland with Bachlinger and Lienher, but the young man from Trentino is a great protagonist. Ok also Cecon, who hits a top five, and Insam 7th and 8th.

A FIS Cup with many Azzurri protagonists, in the races staged last weekend in Szczyrk. On the Polish springboard, Giovanni Bresadola confirms himself as the reference point of the Italian jumping team, after having touched the first podium of his career at the Summer Grand Prix level in Courchevel. Fifth place in the first challenge on the Polish HS107 springboard, with the 2001 Trentino class (in 2nd place after the first series) behind only the Austrian Niklas Bachlinger, winner in front of compatriot Janni Reisenauer and Slovenian Rok Oblak. Also good the performance of Alex Insam, seventh, followed by Francesco Cecon 14th and Andrea Campregher 16th. Bresadola then did even better in race-2, climbing on the second step of the podium with 284.5 points, just 4 tenths from the Austrian Maximilian Lienher, with Bachlinger himself third, 5 tenths from his compatriot and only 1 from '' light blue. Francesco Cecon's performance was also very good, finishing fifth with 270 points, Alex Insam repeats himself in the top ten, eighth with 259.5 points, while Andrea Campregher finished 19th with 238 points. The general classification of the FIS Cup, after six tests out of the fourteen scheduled, sees the Austrian Janni Reisenauer in the lead with 300 points ahead of the German Eric Fuchs with 232, Bresadola is seventh at an altitude of 125. The two women's races in Szczyrk, without blue at the start, saw the Austrian Hannah Wiegele and the Slovenian Ajda Kosnjek prevail. Next appointment of the FIS Cup on the Einsiedeln ski jump, on the weekend of 27-28 August.
