A podium for Alex Insam in the three Continental Cup races of the Silesia triptych

Over the past three days, three Continental Cup races have been held in Silesia, ie the ski cadet circuit. The Szczyrk, Wisla and Frenstat competitions have had three different winners and assigned the three extra chests for the next Summer Grand Prix. Among the protagonists are also the blue Alex Insam, who climbed the podium in one of three appointments.

On Friday he competed in Szczyrk, a race that he experienced on the very cunning duel between peers Aleksander Zniszczol, produced by Wisla's school, and Klemens Muranka, originally from Zakopane. The challenge between the two Poles was balanced and saw Zniszczol first point for half a point, the result of the margin earned by the first jump. In the second series Muranka did slightly better, but not enough to reverse the situation. Slovenian Ziga Jelar, who in mid-competition could play the role of third inconvenient (as close to the two just mentioned), failed to repeat himself in the decisive run, sliding even out of the podium and giving the lowest step to the national sailor Marin Zupancic. At home Italy Alex Insam finished 9th. The gardenese played a two-sided run, as at a first difficult jump - which placed him in twenty-fourth place at the end of the start-up - followed a sparkling performance in the second segment, thanks to which he was able to recover thirteen positions. The other two blue players, Roberto Dellasega and Giovanni Bresadola, were still far from the points zone, standing at 51 ° and 53 ° respectively. COC - SZCZYRK HS106 1. On Saturday, they moved to Wisla, where Muranka and Zniszczol again proposed themselves as major protagonists, at least at the end of the first series. In the middle of the race they were in front of everyone, divided by only three tenths in favor of the athlete of Zakopane. In the second run, though, the values have changed. Meritorious of Miran Zupancic, who has literally split the competition in two thanks to a long jump obtained under conditions (at least nominally) prohibitive. Just the compensation figure made the difference, allowing the Slovenian to move from the fifth temporary position to the final success. The two Poles have not been able to withstand the overwhelming climb of the adversary, but if Muranka has at least managed to save the square, Zniszczol has even slipped to fourth place. In this way he was able to celebrate Insam, the author of a very solid performance that allowed him to finish at 3rd place. The nineteenth-century gardenese was then redone after disappointing on Friday, getting the fourth podium of the Continental Cup career. Far behind the other blue ones. Roberto Dellasega took the lead 40 minutes into the game, when Federico Cecon made the save. COC - WISLA HS134 1. ZUPANCIC Miran (SLO) 279.9 2. MURANKA Klemens (POL) 278.7 3. On Sunday the triptych ended in Frenstat, where the success was won by an Austrian. In fact, the young and interesting Maximilian Steiner has prevailed. The 25-year-old of Upper Austria has built his own assertion in the first series, where he has dug a deep hole between himself and all the other opponents. It was therefore enough for him to defend himself in the decisive move to secure victory. Honor of honor for the representative of another alpine country, namely the Swiss Andreas Schuler. The Swiss has been the author of a very substantial test that has allowed him to archive a prestigious achievement. Third and fourth place for the winners of the two previous competitions. Muranka picked up the third podium in three days (though never losing the highest step), while Zupancic came to the fourth coin. Better than Italian again Alex Insam, 13th. Outside the points area, Roberto Dellasega and Giovanni Bresadola, who were 41rd in the first place. COC - FRENSTAT HS106 1. STEINER Maximilian (AUT) 245.4 2. SCHULER Andreas (SUI) 244.1 3.
