Once the Pyeongchang Olympic Games have been archived, the attention now shifts to the World Cup, which enters the final and therefore decisive phase.

That of Lahti will be the first of four stages in Northern Europe, the last of the 2017-18 World Cup. The calendar includes a two-day race in the Finnish resort that hosted the World Cup last year, Saturday will be a Sprint in free technique, Sunday instead a race distance (10 km for women, 15 km for men) in classic.
For the occasion, nine Italians, six boys and three girls were called up. The patrol will be led by Federico Pellegrino, second in the sprint standings with 205 points to be recovered in Klæbo, together with the Valle d'Aosta will be Maicol Rastelli, Stefan Zelger. Francesco De Fabiani, Dietmar Nöckler, Giandomenico Salvadori will be engaged in the 15 km on Sunday. As for the women's sector we will see in the race Gaia Vuerich and Greta Laurent in the Sprint and Anna Comarella in the 10 km.
