But here we are: ice slab, do not worry! The video shows you how the shoulder outside the curve must remain well above the foot outside the curve and how this foot can tilt thanks to the small but very effective tilting movement of the ankle towards the inside of the curve, also aided by the knee.
In the meantime, you must be very clear, both in theory and during the descent, which is the ski outside the curve. Think about it, imagine the curve you are about to make and already imagine the foot (and the ski) that will cover the largest circumference of that curve ... the foot from which you can hold yourself and that towards the end of the curve will be at the bottom, as if going down a ladder to lean on that foot two steps below and keeping your shoulder on that foot, accompanying it down to a firm support on the step.
Ok if this is clear, in going down to lean on the step below you will actually have to tilt your ankle towards the inside of the curve, as if with the internal malleolus it were a pointed pencil that wants to write in the snow. The knee can help you to give the ankle even more slope so that the edge of the ski can cut the ice instead of "scraping" it and then proceed diagonally without "drifting" downwards.
Keep the leg and thigh inside the curve completely relaxed so that there is no tension that takes away from the effectiveness of the outside of the curve.
Keep the outer shoulder on the outer foot and feel the ankle and foot wanting to cut the ski. Let the ski proceed until it passes the ice plate and back on the good snow relax and let yourself go towards the descent, now sweeping the snow with the two skis to control the speed and continue in your new curve, without the fear of accelerating and to lose control.
