This year was the second best winter season of the Dolomiti SuperSki ski resorts. This was stated by Thomas Mussner, general director of the world's largest carousel.

The most significant data, monitored at 7 April, the closing date of the Sellaronda and numerous other Dolomiti Superski ski areas, concern the increase in the number of seasonal ski passes sold, which grew by 1% compared to the 2017 record year -18, and the launch of the new product "Superski Family", the combination of several ski passes within the same family unit with pre-purchase of ski days that can be consumed at pleasure within the family. 1,233 families have joined the proposal, involving over 4,500 people.
Compared to the best season ever, 2017/2018, there was a decline: -1.5% of passes and -3.1% of first entries. Confronted instead with the 2016-17 season, more "normal", the same numbers of the season just ended, are in fact from second best ever with + 8.2% of passes and even + 11.4% of first entries.
"Weather plays an important role here. On the one hand we have found that 78% of plant opening days were of good weather, with no precipitation, which helps a lot to keep the frequency of users constantly on our slopes. It is also true that we had several days of strong winds, which forced us to partially close some plants, something that inevitably has repercussions on the passages, "explains Thomas Mussner, stressing that the 2019 Carnival period was better than the year last, while the late Easter this year (April 21st), compared to the similarly late Easter of 2014 (year with a lot of snow), recorded + 15% of passes and + 7.9% of first entries.
“Skiing holds, the interest of the enthusiasts remains high and the ski areas that have continued their activity even after 7 April, among other things, the closing date of the central ski areas of Dolomiti Superski, have managed to concentrate on if the request for spring skiing, working well and achieving excellent results "adds the general manager of Dolomiti Superski, who once again underlines the satisfaction for the 2018-19 ski season, which officially closed on May 1st, recalling that the installers of the Dolomites invest substantial sums every year in transport technology and above all in snowmaking, which guarantees quality and reliability of the service.
The next winter season 2019-20 of Dolomiti Superski will officially begin on Saturday 30 November 2019.
