Dolomiti Supersummer, two galaxies of fun for a top mountain holiday

For lovers of two wheels a universe of trails, descents, enduro tracks and bike parks, for those who love walking in the mountains 15 areas and an alpine world of 3,000 square kilometers, thanks to the "Dolomiti Supersummer card", which combines only ticket the Hike and Bike Galaxy.

Fifteen districts, one hundred and twenty lifts in a single card: in winter they give life to the Dolomiti Superski, in the hot season they transform into two galaxies of fun, Hike and Bike Galaxy in the magnificent scenery of the Dolomites. HIKE GALAXY From family walks to via ferratas or climbing routes, passing through excursions in the shadow of the Dolomite peaks: the Dolomiti Supersummer with its 15 areas and over 3,000 square kilometers of extension, offers many fun solutions for every taste and need. Hiking trails among the most beautiful in Italy, Unesco heritage, of varying difficulty (easy, medium, difficult), length and height difference. And if you are undecided about the adventure to undertake, just plan the route in advance, deciding which type of track is the most suitable. Walking through the breathtaking views it is possible to admire the local flora and fauna, which make all eight natural parks of the Dolomites unique in their kind, entirely accessible by ski lifts. In the same way we breathe the culture and traditions of the communities of these provinces which still play an important role. Historically, the Dolomites are closely linked to the events of the First World War. Especially along the hiking trails and mountain bike trails, sports enthusiasts will still be able to observe war remnants. Fortifications, trenches and emplacements give an idea of the difficult conditions in which the soldiers found themselves fighting. BIKE GALAXY Downhill trails with drops, flows with curves and bridges, well-equipped bike parks: bike enthusiasts will find a real galaxy of possibilities in the Dolomiti Supersummer. A total of 3,000 square kilometers of mountain landscapes, more than 400 km of mountain bike trails and over 24,000 meters of altitude difference transform the summer Dolomites into an eldorado of bikes. In the Dolomiti Bike Galaxy, bike specialists are welcomed by a whole universe of trails, descents, enduro tracks and bike parks that offer endless possibilities for beginners and professionals. The absolute highlight of Dolomiti Supersummer: 120 lifts allow cyclists to reach the peaks of the Dolomites. Most cable cars allow bike transport, for endless fun. Among the many opportunities offered by the Bike Galaxy there is the San Pellegrino Bike Trail. On the Falcade side of the San Pellegrino Ski Area, downhill tracks and cycle touring descents branch off. Since 2021 the area has consisted of three single trails between 10 and 13 km long: Falcade, Gli Innamorati and San Pellegrino. To these three routes is added a flow trail "Le Buse", 1.9 km long with an altitude difference of 320 meters classified as difficult. Alessandro Bergomi

Il paper di Banca d'Italia analizza gli effetti sui flussi turistici e sull'ambiente nei 4 anni successivi all'iscrizione delle Dolomiti nella lista dei Patrimoni Mondiali dell'Umanità, avvenuta nel 2009. A fronte di un incremento delle presenze, il numero di strutture turistiche non è cresciuto e quello di posti letto si è ridotto. Ai maggiori flussi turistici non si è associato né un aumento del consumo di suolo né una maggiore produzione di rifiuti, dimostrando il potenziale del riconoscimento UNESCO nel generare benefici economici locali senza compromettere la qualità ambientale, a condizione che siano in atto un efficace coordinamento istituzionale e solide garanzie normative.
