Here are some tips on where to go skiing this weekend.

There are many ski resorts this weekend will open the 2019/2020 winter season. Others, instead, have already opened the ski lifts a few days ago thanks to the abundant snowfalls.
Let's find out which are the best places to go for the first ski season.
VALLE D'AOSTA
This weekend in Valle d’Aosta a sunny day is scheduled for Saturday 30 November and a snow day for Sunday 1 December. Some resorts will open the ski lifts this weekend, but if you want to make the most of your skiing day, we recommend Cervinia as a destination where all the slopes are already open. Almost all the lifts are in operation, with the exception of the Cielo Alto chairlift and the Plan Maison gondola.
The weekend will also open in advance the Torgnon station: all the lifts and slopes will be open except for the return track number 1. The ski pass will be sold at a special price of 24 euros instead of 31. For the little ones the Winter Park, the playground area equipped with slides, inflatables, trampolines, carousel carousel, climbing facilities and a playground. Also open 23 km of cross-country ski trails.
PIEDMONT
Also in Piedmont a sunny day is scheduled for Saturday 30 November and a mixed snow day with rain for Sunday 1 December. We recommend a ski trip to Limone Piemonte that this weekend will inaugurate the new winter season with the opening of all the ski lifts with the exception of the Panice ski lift. It will be skiing from November 29th with the "White Friday", a promotional day with a daily ski pass for the price of 15 euros. On Saturday, November 30th, the official celebrations will be celebrated. In the morning, special guest of the White Reserve will be the former World Cup downhill skier, Kristian Ghedina, who will be present at the opening of the Severino Bottero cable car.
If you are a lover of smaller stations and are beginners, we recommend the Lurisia Monte Pigna station where on December 1st the lifts will open after a winter stop.
LOMBARDY
The weekend includes a sunny day with some fog in some areas on Saturday 30 November and a snow day for Sunday 1 December. One of the best places is Livigno, the small Tibet, where this weekend you can watch the Sgambeda, the 30 km long marathon. November 30th will be the official start of the new winter season with all the lifts open.
As an alternative we propose a ski on the Presena glacier and at Passo Tonale where 14 slopes are open including the beautiful black "Paradiso" slope.
TRENTINO ALTO ADIGE
On Saturday 30 November there will be a sunny day in the morning with clouds in the afternoon. December 1 will return to snow. In Trentino we recommend Obereggen as a destination that will open the ski lifts on Friday 29 November with the possibility of skiing even at night under the stars starting at 19.00.
In Alto Adige we recommend a ski trip to Plan De Corones that this Saturday will open all the ski lifts and all the ski slopes including its famous black five: Erta, Sylvester, Piculin, Herngegg and Pre da Peres.
VENETO
Sunny day for Saturday 30 November and clouds, with snow in the afternoon, for Sunday 1 December. We propose a ski run in Arabba, where last week the chairlift that from the Campolongo Pass up to the Bec de Roces has already started operating, and where this weekend is expected to open further ski lifts including the Arabba-Campolongo Pass - Porta Vescovo and Pordoi as well as 23 ski slopes.
Several ski lifts and facilities have also been opened for a few days in the splendid Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Queen of the Dolomites that this season will host the Alpine Ski World Cup Finals. Until 1 December the price of the ski pass will have a 20% discount.
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA
As in the other regions, even in Friuli Venezia Giulia there is a nice sunny day for Saturday 30 November snowfall Sunday 1 December.
The only station open this weekend will be Sella Nevea where you can ski from the Rifugio Gilberti refuge to Sella Golovec.
