Tomba and Brignone think the same way: "Not reopening the plants would be devastating"

The declarations made to ANSA by the great Azzurri champions, after the thousand rumors about a probable closure also during the Christmas period. Albertone: "We are the safest sport".

The voices of those who are a symbol of skiing and the world of snow, increasingly at the center of attention regarding the closure of the ski lifts, apparently, also for the next few weeks and at least until the new year. We are talking about Alberto Tomba and Federica Brignone, intercepted by ANSA to get an opinion on what would be the government decision not to reopen for the Christmas period. A clear judgment, starting from that of the Bolognese champion: "Skiing is par excellence outdoor and individual sport - Albertone's words - Plus, given how you dress when you go skiing, it's not really a problem masks, because mouth and face protectors are already normally used. And while skiing there is not a problem of distance; where there is a chairlift with two or three seats you can go alone, if it is five you go in three. And it is also possible to reduce and mark the places on the cable cars: there is therefore no problem in maintaining the distance on the lifts. The problem is, if anything, that of the apres ski and the refuges where you go to drink and eat something after skiing - concluded the Bolognese - but also in this case, as happens in restaurants, you can limit access, with mask and spacing required ". For Federica Brignone, the reopening “would allow families and children to be outdoors, doing a sport that is not dangerous in compliance with the rules, which allows you to stay at a distance because it is difficult to stay on while skiing. Yes, I think it is really important that the lifts open - added the Aosta Valley - and this is because in addition to allowing you to do an outdoor sport, it is especially useful for the entire sector: otherwise you risk that the stations fall into a crisis endless. Many are already struggling to make it to the end of the season, to even the score and Christmas is the big chunk. Stopping at Christmas would be irreparable damage ”.
