Between skis and lifts: Roda's replica at Fatto Quotidiano and that of Goggia and Brignone at Lucarelli

The federal president very tough, in response to the accusation of circumventing government bans. And the journalist's post against the reopening of the plants unleashes the two champions.

The situation linked to the practically total closure of the ski resorts for the entire Christmas period is causing discussion at all levels. And in this regard, yesterday a post by the journalist Selvaggia Lucarelli lit the fuse further on a social level, on the inappropriateness of going skiing with 700 deaths a day, referring to people who "deserve to finish a couple of minutes under the snow, breathless". “And maybe the skypass stops being the priority at the end of the year”, with an attached gaffe on the ticket to access the ski lifts that sparked the irony of Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone. The reply of the federal president Flavio Roda, addressed to the management of “Il Fatto Quotidiano” with a request to Marco Travaglio for an immediate correction, also lasts. We publish it in full. "Egr. Director, in relation to the video and article entitled "Closed ski slopes, but with the Fisi card even the beginner becomes an" athlete of national interest "bypassing government bans", published on the Fatto Quotidiano website, the Federation I manage requires clarity and requires immediate publication of the following notes to correct what is reported. The FISI coordinates and regulates the sporting activity of the agonists (note, agonists) of 15 winter disciplines of all ages: from the categories of children to the Masters, it regulates their training and competitions. In a standard season, not spoiled by the current pandemic, that means over 7,000 races in one winter. This activity is carried out throughout the national territory, and it is possible to carry it out through a capillary territorial organization, made up of Regional and Provincial Committees and over 1,100 Ski Clubs. We are talking about sporting activity, not snow tourism. The meaning of the article (as well as of the video) which intends to pass the FISI and its card as an easy way to bypass the regulations and be able to ski in freedom is completely wrong, in times in which - moreover - the stations are closed. Those who answered the journalist's questions do not have the slightest knowledge of what are the federal directives on training and competitions. In order to go to train, an athlete of "national interest" of any category must be included by the President of his Ski Club or of his Regional Committee in a competitive team, under the guidance of a technical staff. And above all he must be summoned: that is, he must receive a document that tells him on what days and at what times he can go to train and in what location, given that there are very few places that host athletes and only for competitive purposes, exactly as indicated. in the last Dpcm.
