Dolomiti Superski, the carousel with 12 affiliated ski resorts and 450 ski lifts, takes a position on the matter, hoping that both the CTS and the Government will take into consideration what has been elaborated by the experts in the sector, allowing the snow sector to start the winter season 2020- 21 within a reasonable time, in full compliance with the health safety rules.
“Given that health comes first, Dolomiti Superski hopes that the safety protocol approved by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, the result of careful and precise work by experts in the sector, can be implemented by the CTS. We also hope that the Italian government takes into account the importance of the snow sector, not only from an economic point of view with the numbers it generates in terms of turnover, investments, salaries, and tax revenues, but also for its social value. In fact, thousands of families depend on winter tourism, both directly in the ski lifts sector, but also in the entire supply chain, which includes the hospitality sector, catering, schools and ski rentals, trade and transport. It is thanks to skiing that the Italian mountains are still populated and giving the Italian mountains the opportunity to start the winter season in a reasonable time means life for many people, even before the mere desire for fun of ski enthusiasts "commented Andy Varallo, President of Dolomiti Superski.
Dolomiti Superski has developed a series of its own measures in addition to the basic anti Covid-19 rules, significantly enhancing its online shop, where from this year it will be possible to buy almost all types of ski passes, so as not to have to pass for the ski pass offices or at the ticket offices of the lifts themselves.
“We have analyzed all the potentially critical moments, elaborating suitable measures to contain the pandemic. In the context, over 50 Ticket Boxes have been installed in all locations, where it is possible to collect ski passes purchased online, simply by having the device read the barcode on the voucher. Printing is immediate and available 24/7. In this context, the "Hotel Skipass Service" is also available free of charge, where the accommodation employer participating in the initiative collects the ski passes purchased online and has them found in the room for their guests. In addition, the new Skiers Map provides users with real-time information on the frequency of the ski lifts, helping to choose the optimal time for their use and the Holiday Calendar lists in table form the turnout at the holiday resorts, based on of the experiences of the past 5 years. The guest can thus choose the holiday period, avoiding periods of greater intensity. It goes without saying that all the measures envisaged by the security protocol approved today will also be implemented.
