The fourth edition of the championship of snowkite world scene in Roccaraso

From 2 to 5 March 2017 is scheduled to Roccaraso the fourth edition of the championship of snowkite world, winter sport akin to the most famous kite practiced in the most ventilated seas.

The 'event organized and promoted by the Snowkite Center working group of Roccaraso with the fundamental contribution of local authorities and the Consortium Alto Sangro ski pass, brings together about a hundred athletes who will compete in the Abruzzo mountains following two types of races: the Freeride format to be held at 2000 meters between Aremogna, Monte Pratello and Mount Greek, with the organizers which will present six clearly visible buoys and fixed. The race director, according to the wind conditions and weather buoys indicate valid for the race. Riders must reach those buoys, without a predetermined order, choosing them according to the strategy that will decide to take, and then return to the starting point. The judges will verify the validation of achieved buoys; the format Race to be held in the plains between 1200 and 1600 meters; the linear length of the path will be not less than 10 km and the drivers will take from 1 to 3 turns.
