Another international event of absolute level is about to land on the slopes of Passo San Pellegrino. From Thursday 11th to Saturday 13th March, on the Costabella slope, the skicross European Cup finals will take place, thanks to the organization of the Trentino Agonistica led by Gianni Tonielli and Roberto Jezek.
Friday's race will also be valid for assigning the Italian absolute and junior titles, with the Trentino boys ready to fight for a medal, given that it is one of the few Committees to have invested in forming a junior team, coached by Loris Donei, who is giving excellent results. The organizing committee is working hard these days to define the last details and, above all, the race track thanks to the staff that sees Andreas Krautgasser as race director, track director Dario Dellantonio assisted by Loris Donei. The starting gate has been completed and the crossing has been completed in some sections to ensure a course of international quality. The track, which has a development of 1200 meters with 170 meters of altitude difference, has been the federal training center of all the Italian national teams for two years and is particularly appreciated because it contains all the technical characteristics, and also has all the safety requirements. .

In total 85 athletes from 12 nations are expected, returning from the last weekend in Reiteralm (Austria) where a two-day European Cup was staged, with good placings by the Azzurri: Simone Deromedis with a 19th and a 26th Place, Pascal Rizzi with a 36th and a 43rd place, Patrick Wolfsgruber with a 41st and a 45th, Simone Cavallar with a 29th and 47th, Jannes Debertol with a 49th and 51st, Filippo Zamboni with a 51st and 52nd place. In the women's field the Livigno Jole Galli obtained two third places, the Campigliana Andrea Chesi a 10th and a 15th place, the Fassana Rebecca Paoli a 21st and 22nd, Nathalie Bernard a 23rd and a 29th place, the solandra Giorgia Graifermberg a 25th and 26th.
Unfortunately, the injured Lucrezia Fantelli will be absent, the tip of the women's ski cross team who also had to renounce the world championships of Idre Fjall. The program includes a day dedicated to training on Thursday 11 March starting at 9, then Friday morning at 9 training and at 11.30 the first race with qualifying and direct elimination heats.
