The Italian snowboard aces return to the slopes at Stelvio: Bormolini, March and teammates finally back on snow

Finally back on the slopes, with the reopening of the Stelvio glacier also allowing the Italian parallel snowboard aces to resume training on snow, two and a half months before the Chinese opening of the 2026/27 World Cup.

In reality, the World Cup team led by technical director Cesare Pisoni faces a dual commitment, between the gym and the slopes, for almost the entire A team summoned by the Bergamo “wizard”: first, a series of athletic tests to be carried out in Bolzano on Monday, September 14, followed by four days at Stelvio Pass, through Friday, September 18.

Daniele Bagozza, Edwin Coratti, Gabriel Messner, Tommy Rabanser, Mike Santuari, Jasmin Coratti and Elisa Fava will be present, accompanied by Fabio Breda, for the initial block in Bolzano. They will then be joined on the glacier by the holder of the crystal globes, Maurizio Bormolini, as well as Mirko Felicetti, Aaron March and Elisa Caffont, together with the other coaches Rudi Galli and Maurizio Rudatis. Roland Fischnaller will begin his work at a later stage; he will also be a key figure in the 2026/27 season, when in March, at the Montafon World Championships, the champion from Funes will defend his world giant slalom title.
