This garment, exhibited in museums and international contexts of great scientific authority, is now a product for sale, even on the Italian market.

It is a great success primarily from a technological point of view, but above all for environmental sustainability. Yes, because the word sustainability is often associated with ugly, old, recycled, patched-up garments, good only for eco-friendly enthusiasts. In this case, instead, we are talking about a garment with a high technological value, the result of Spiber's research in the creation of biopolymeric materials capable of imitating the properties found in silkworm products and animal fibers in general. A sweater The first natural fiber sweater was first developed more than 1000 years ago by people living in hunter-gatherer societies near freezing coastal and mountainous areas. One of the reasons for the sweater's popularity across countless different generations and cultures is due to the nature of its construction, which maximizes the incredible potential for diversity and versatility found in animal fibers. The first garment designed with the fiber made by Goldwin and Spiber could only be a sweater, "The Sweater". "The Sweater" was developed by asking "What was the origin of this iconic product?" and "What will it look like in the future?". It was born by combining these new innovative materials with fine merino wool and high quality cashmere and could be the starting point for the search for solutions to global environmental problems. The color of the sweater, black, was chosen because it represents the mixture of all colors and is said to be the color of the beginnings. In this way, we envision The Sweater as a link between the beginning of the long history of this iconic element and the latest technological developments.
