First of all, Benedikt Böhm believes that the uncertainty and unreliability of snowfall will not change the fate of ski mountaineering, in the last few decades the average temperature has increased and the number of ski mountaineering practitioners has also increased. Dynafit has always actively considered the differences between racing and speed, between touring and free touring. Today we look to the future taking into consideration two new major trends: 1) Speed Touring will use products designed for Fast Ski Touring, inspired or designed for competitions and dedicated to trained athletes or enthusiasts who want to climb even more peaks in a single day, without compromise. the new equipment dedicated to Speed Touring will have to make it possible to climb 20% faster, reducing weights and increasing performance. 2) The equipment dedicated to Kids will have great importance in the future. From 2026, ski touring will be an Olympic discipline and there will be more and more parents who will want to enjoy the days in the mountains with their children. Today it is difficult to find cheap equipment for children that is not too heavy and that makes days in the snow fun even for the little ones. The challenge of the future will be to show young people the fun of ski touring as an activity for families.
