In this video we see the launch of Reuters in the space of the Sochi 2014 Olympic torch which started this morning with a crew of three men for the first spacewalk of the Olympic torch relay in history.

The Japanese Koichi Wakata, the Russian Mikhail Tyurin and U.S. Rick Mastracchio rose with the torch aboard the Russian spacecraft Soyuz TMA-11M and took off at 5.14 this morning by Italian Baikonur, Kazakhstan. Less than six hours after the shuttle, with the torch strictly off for security reasons, has reached the international space station where there were six other astronauts. Hence the spacewalk that will last until November 11, next Monday, when the torch will be brought back to earth.
