Ski mountaineering: total triumph for the Azzurri in Campiglio, Robert Antonioli wins the World Cup

The individual final sees five Italians in the first six places with Eydallin success, and here is the fourth cup for the Valtellina champion. All the results also at the youth level.

It is great Italy in the third and final day of competitions of the ski mountaineering World Cup finals. On the Trentino snows of Madonna di Campiglio, Matteo Eydallin dominated the individual senior men ahead of Davide Magnini, Nadir Maguet and Michele Boscacci. But the news is represented by the sixth place of Robert Antonioli, which allows the thirty-one year old from Valtellina of the Army Sports Center to conquer the general classification for the fourth time in his career after the triumphs of 2017, 2019 and 2020. Antonioli had to defend two points ahead of Thibault Anselmet, but the transalpine ran into a day of poor vein, in which he did not go beyond the twentieth place, and Italy can celebrate yet another triumph with Antonioli who closes at 764 points against Anselmet's 733, third is Davide Magnini with 623. In the women's test another podium for Alba De Silvestro arrives. The Venetian finished in second place in the race won by the French Axelle Gachet Mollaret, queen of the day with the third place for Tove Alexandersson. The Swede took the joy of the podium away from Mara Martini and Giulia Murada, respectively fourth and fifth, while Giulia Compagnoni finished seventh, Ilaria Veronese tenth and Giorgia Felicetti eighteenth. In the women's under 20 the victory went to the excellent Samantha Bertolina, who legitimized the success in the general classification of the category in front of Lisa Moraschini, second for 14 ", third the American Grace Staberg at 4" 18 ". Sixth position for Katia Mascherona at 9''20 ". Among the males the Austrian Paul Verbnjak prevailed on the Spaniard Albert Perez Angles and the other Austrian Andreas Mayer, fourth Alessandro Rossi and fifth Luca Tomasoni. Among the under 23 men Andrea Prandi won, with Mirko Sanelli third, first Giulia Murada and third Giorgia Felicetti among women.
