It is forbidden to ski under the influence of alcohol. Bombardino and beer only at the end of the day

Legislative Decree number 40 of 28 February 2021 introduces, among the innovations in the field of safety in winter sports, the prohibition of skiing under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

No more bombardino and beer between one ski and the next. From 1 January 2022, Legislative Decree 40/2021 will come into force, of which paragraph 1 of article 31 called "Alcohol and toxicological assessments" reads: "It is forbidden to ski while intoxicated as a result of the use of alcoholic beverages and toxicological substances". Paragraph 2 goes on to say: "The ascertaining bodies, in compliance with personal confidentiality and without prejudice to physical integrity, may subject skiers to non-invasive quality checks or tests, even through portable devices". Article 31 ends with paragraph 3 where it reads: "When the qualitative assessments referred to in paragraph 2 have given a positive result or when there is otherwise reason to believe that the skier is in a state of psychophysical alteration deriving from the influence of alcohol or drugs, the ascertaining bodies, also accompanying him to the nearest office or command, they have the right to carry out the assessment with the tools and procedures provided for by article 379 of the decree of the President of the Republic of 16 December 1992, n. 495 ". The article cited is that of the rule of the highway code which governs checks for those found at the wheel in a state of intoxication. The law currently establishes the limit of 0.5 grams / liter of alcohol in the blood, a limit beyond which one is defined in a state of intoxication and therefore subject to sanctions. The blood alcohol level exceeds 0.5 grams / liter limit is punished with high penalties and severe fines. If the rate is over 0.8 grams / liter it becomes a crime. OTHER MEASURES THAT WILL COME INTO FORCE ON 1 JANUARY 2022: Compulsory RCT insurance for skiing throughout the national territory The ski helmet is mandatory under 18 years
