Cervinia, Herbert Tovagliari confirmed President of Cervino S.p.A.

Herbert Tovagliari has been confirmed at the helm of the board of Cervino S.p.A, the ropeway company of the Cervino Ski Paradise

During the shareholders' meeting of Cervino S.p.A, which was held today, Friday 9 July, Herbert Tovagliari, born in 1980, an officer of Finaosta, was confirmed as Chairman of the board of directors, alongside which he is appointed CEO. Among the councilors are Monica Meynet, born in 1986, accountant and former president of the Cervino Turismo Consortium and Stefano Perrin, born in 1970, surveyor and municipal councilor for tourism of the Municipality of Torgnon. The Board of Statutory Auditors will be composed of Gianni Giuseppe Odisio (Chairman), Patrizia Giornetti and Massimo Ciocchini. Cervino S.p.A therefore confirms a board of directors ready to enthusiastically tackle ambitious and stimulating projects, destined to make a constantly moving reality grow more and more, with a development plan and exponential growth, aimed at enhancing the Cervino brand. One above all the project relating to the new Alpine Crossing system, a state-of-the-art cable car that will allow the tour of the Matterhorn, connecting the Plateau Rosà with the Piccolo Cervino and which promises to become, starting from 2022, one of the most important attractions for reality alpine, connecting Zermatt and Breuil-Cervinia in every season. The three-year appointments are intended to be a sign of stability and recovery for the company which in the cableways sector of the Valle d'Aosta Autonomous Region boasts the highest turnover and the longest seasonality, thus generating an essential induced for the entire tourism sector. Cervino S.p.A. is one of the oldest and most prestigious cable car companies in the Alps. Founded in 1934 at the foot of the famous mountain from which it takes its name, today it manages the ski lifts of Breuil-Cervinia (connected by skis with Zermatt-Switzerland), Valtournenche, Torgnon and Chamois for a total of 26 lifts. The area, known as Cervino Ski Paradise, unites 2 nations and presents itself as one of the largest in the Alps, with a varied and unparalleled skiable domain, which extends from the 3,883 m of the Piccolo Cervino to reach the 1,524 m of Valtournenche and thanks to the its high altitudes can boast a winter season of 6 months and a summer season with skiing as the main activity, alongside trekking and mountain biking. Cervino S.p.A. at peak times it can count on about 270 collaborators and in a year it usually marks more than one million visitors to its plants.
