The super-giant "Reine blanche", organized by Cervino SpA reached its third edition and this year will be held Saturday 31th March on the snow of Valtournenche. Saturday evening after the race preview presentation of the Giro d'Italia, which will return next May 19 to make a stop at the foot of the Matterhorn.

"Reine Blanche" has become a fixture on the snow to close the Valtournenche the long season of competitive skiing in this resort, which for many is the gateway to the largest skiable domain of the Matterhorn. especially the number to the success of this race, starting with the gradient: starting from the Hill Bottom of the White Peaks at about 2,800 meters. right up to 1,500 meters. the evening the party of "Reine Blanche" celebrates the passage of spring with an evening in Cervinia movie theater dedicated to all of cycling, with guests of honor the champions of the two wheels, a former professional racers, the champion Gianni Bugno of the world Ivan Gotti, who in 1997 won the right stage of the Tour of Italy Cervinia. With their other ones, such as Marco Della Vedova, Germano and Florido Barale, along with "veteran" Kazianka Aldo, also won a stage in the Tour of Italy Cervinia (edition 1960). This initiative is part of a promotion program of Valtournenche in collaboration with the companies systems of Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche, in addition to the Consortium for the Development of Tourist Region of the Matterhorn, to celebrate the return of Tour of Italy (very strongly wanted by the Region of Valle d'Aosta) at the foot of the Matterhorn with the step-Cervinia Cherasco of May 19. An opportunity to make known to the tourists not only the beautiful slopes of the ski area but also the many bicycle paths on road and mountain biking.
