There is still no official news on the start date of the summer ski season in Cervinia. Switzerland's decision to open borders is awaited.

In the latest Federal Council, Switzerland reiterated that on 15 June it will only open borders with Austria, Germany and France. By 6 July (indicative date), however, it could reopen borders towards other Schengen States. From Cervinia, therefore, at the moment, it will not yet be possible to go up to Plateau Rosà for summer skiing.
Despite the problems, Cervino S.p.a. he is still working on the maintenance of the ski lifts as stated in the statement by Federico Maquignaz, chief executive officer and president of Cervino Spa, issued to the online newspaper La Stampa: “I don't think we will finish until 6 July. The decision is theirs, we are ready, we will leave as soon as they tell us that they open, with everything, even with the mountain bike season. Of course, not today for tomorrow, time a few days to organize the opening and then we will open: it is still early to give a certain date ".
Also in La Stampa, the representatives of the Regional Council said: “The opening date of the summer ski in Plateau Rosà is scheduled for Saturday 27 June, but the common will is to anticipate also to respond to the countless requests from enthusiasts. The goal is to issue an ordinance that will give all companies the opportunity to open the plants starting next weekend ".

Argentera
Argentera si trova nell’alta Valle Stura, a pochi chilometri dal Colle della Maddalena e dal confine francese, in uno degli ambienti più appartati e selvaggi delle Alpi Marittime. Il comprensorio si sviluppa sopra la frazione di Bersezio, tra circa 1.630 e 2.500 metri di quota, in un paesaggio di lariceti e pendii d’alta montagna dominato dall’Oserot e dalla Rocca dei Tre Vescovi.
